Currently if you merge orders from Magento2 we will only writeback tracking and complete the parent order as part of the merge. The child orders will not be updated.

This feature request is to add support for updating the child orders with tracking and complete them as well.

Hi all!
We've now added support so that the child items in a merge will also be updated with Magento 2. Let us know if you have any feedback on that front

One scenario where this becomes a much bigger problem is when selling on MyDeal, Big W & Woolworths Marketplace platforms - as they don't support combined shipping for most integrations (screenshot from marketplace documentation attached), and instead splits single orders up into multiple orders (by line item).
