When an order imports with a total item weight and additional packages are added manually, Starshipit currently copies or retains the total shipment weight rather than calculating the remaining weight for subsequent packages.

This can result in users unintentionally creating shipments where the combined package weights exceed the actual shipment weight unless each package is manually adjusted.

Suggested Improvement

When a shipment has an imported total weight and a user adds additional packages, Starshipit could automatically calculate and populate the remaining weight for the next package.

Example

Imported order weight: 9.4 kg

Package 1 weight entered: 8.4 kg

Package 2 weight automatically populated: 1.0 kg

Alternatively, provide an option to automatically distribute the remaining shipment weight across new packages.
