With recent U.S. tariff changes, new requirements have emerged for merchants shipping to the United States. To support this, you can now manage two new fields in your Classic Product Catalogue:
HTS Code:
- The U.S. version of the HS Code used for customs classification and duty calculation.
- If a product has an HTS Code set up, Starshipit will automatically use it when shipping to the U.S.
Cost Price:
- The base cost of your product, used internally or for B2B2C shipping where the retail price should not be declared.
- If a Cost Price is set and you enable the new option in Settings → Product Catalogue Settings: When sending to USA and cost price is provided, use this for item price (B2B2C scenario)
- Starshipit will dynamically swap the item’s declared value for its Cost Price when shipping to the U.S. This helps you meet customs requirements and keep pricing accurate for B2B2C fulfilment.
These fields can only be added in the Classic Product Catalogue for now, but once added, they’ll work for shipments created in either UI.
