To eliminate paper usage, it would be great to have the ability to pick an order via the mobile app, then assign it to a tote via scanning a designated barcode on the tote, and then in the workflow page to scan the tote and have the assigned order number input.

Agree with this.
The ability to check out a tote and then use that tote to pass to pack will allow separation of the stages between different people.
