Some scanners (such as socket scanners) have an application in iOS that allow changing of the the keyboard to allow inputs from scanners that are in application mode. The app is called SM Keyboard.

As some other apps only work in application mode this mean you would need to disconnet and recorret the Bluetooth device when using different apps .
