StarTrack: Include Surcharges in rates - Manual Handling / Oversize Surcharge

StarTrack has additional fees surcharges based on package size.
I would like to see StarShipiT add these surcharges to the API price rate displayed. Preferable with the breakdown: ie: $20 rate + $11.50 Surcharge = Total $31.50)
Surcharge #1 "Manual Handling Surcharge" (MHS) for Goods that exceed any of the following dimensions:
• length of 117cm
• width of 60cm
• height of 60cm, or
• 20kg in dead weight.
The surcharge amount should be editable in the Couier Settings as not all MHS is equal for all Startrack customers.
Surcharge #2. Oversize Surchare.
Applicable to any item excluding pallets or skids
- Dead Weight Over 32kg: $75.00
-Any dimension from 150cm to 199cm: $20.00
Applicable to any item including pallets and skids
- Any dimension from 200cm to 299cm: $40.00
-Any dimension from 300cm to 399cm: $75.00
-Any dimension from 400cm to 499cm: $250.00
-Any dimension from 500cm to 599cm: $450.00
-Any dimension 600cm or over: $600.00 -
Pallets and skids only Height over 180cm: $20.00 -
Length or width from 150cm to 199cm: $20.00

Another thought: would be the ability to add a $value to a Packaging-> Box . We could then setup a special box that has a $value attached. When that box is selected the $value is added to the rates breakdown.

Agreed, but from what I understand, this is not possible because the courier services do not pass their surcharges through to Starshipit via the API. Surcharges are typically added to your bill after delivery has been made.
We have worked around this by creating checkout rates rules, based on the courier service and the type of surcharge, to add that surcharge to our checkout in addition to the shipping cost.
For example;
- If "order weight" is "greater than" 20kg - Then set "Courier" to "Courier type 76"
Then
- If "order weight" is "greater than" 50kg - Then set "Margin Type & Value" to "Add $50 to Courier type 76"
- If "order weight" is "greater than" 30kg - Then set "Margin Type & Value" to "Add $25 to Courier type 76"
You can do the same with SKU items,
- If "Item SKU" is "SKU1, SKU2, SKU3, SKU4. etc.. - Then set "Courier Type" to "Courier type 76"
Then
- If "Item SKU" is "SKU1, SKU2, SKU3, SKU4. etc.. - Then set "Margin Type & Value" to "Add $25 to Courier type 76"

I'd love to see the surcharges (mainly fuel surcharges) for eParcel and Aramex too please!

Lava Swan: Hi Janet. Looks like eParcel fuel surcharge is now working. Details are in the latest StarshipIT update email :)
Although it also says Startrack Fuels surcharge is supposed to work, I can't find the option to turn this one on.

Favourite Tyrannosaurus: Hi Andrew, the Fuel Surcharge should be added to Startrack rates as well and you should be able to see it in the break down in UI 2. However the surcharges that you have outlined above based on package size will not be. Let me know if you have any questions on this or are not seeing the fuel surcharges. Greatly appreciate your input on these other surcharges, as they are not available in the API we will need to look to see if we can add them in, but for now your suggested rules look excellent. :)
